week 19: building
development times

Dear board, first of all - thanks for making the time.
Open rates
Our open rates stayed above 45% (last week).
Even after onboarding 100+ new users from ads.
That's well above the industry average, but I was nervous.
Would users from paid acquisition behave like our organic subscribers?
Would they engage?
Turns out, relevant, AI-curated news is relevant to everyone.
When your value proposition is clear, and you deliver.
Engagement follows. Big positive for us.
Site traffic
One button moved, and traffic to our news feed went up 78%.
Last week, we repositioned the "Go to News Feed" button from the bottom to the top of our emails.
Nothing fancy. No complex redesign. No new features.
Just one button in a more prominent position.
Result: 78% more users are now exploring beyond the email.
Sometimes, simple UI changes can make a big difference.
The big update
That I’ve been mentioning for so long is still in development, and we are closing in.
Trust me.
You quickly learn that everything takes longer than expected, and that it’s hard to set deadlines for the development of new stuff because it’s so unpredictable.
But it’s very close, and Frederik is grinding to get it to work.
Our numbers this week
We don’t do any advertising at the moment, which explains the stagnated growth, but the good thing is that users are staying with us.
Total active users | 256 | 🔽 00.39% |
Net new subscribers | -1 | |
Revenue | $0 | 🔼 00.00% |
I’m very confident is these early numbers.
Emails delivered | 1,794 | 🔽 10.48% |
Unique opens | 770 | 🔽 14.16% |
Unique open rate | 42.92% | 🔽 01.84% |
Unique clicks | 79 | 🔽 20.20% |

I’ll share the ups and downs, our numbers, and our plans with you every week this year.
As mentioned, I’m always open to feedback, suggestions or just connecting.
